Jalfe is our family business, founded by Jane and Lars Bredstrup. The first small production of Jalfe sweaters made from pure merino wool began in 2008. Over the years, we have developed the brand, created more styles, and added a collection in organic cotton. The focus has always been on creating essential basics of high quality using fine and natural materials.

We believe that the clothing of the future should be responsibly produced, made from natural materials, have long durability, and be comfortable to wear. That’s why we have ensured that Jalfe clothing meets these criteria. The clothing is designed and knitted in Denmark, and dyed and sewn here in Europe—always under good conditions and without the use of harmful chemicals. The merino wool is always mulesing-free, and the cotton is always organic.

From our office and warehouse in Svendborg, a small team—many of us family members—works together. From here, we ship Jalfe clothing to our webshop customers and retailers, mainly in Germany and a bit across the rest of Europe. Every day is spent on logistics, sales, brand development, design—and much more.
