Jane opened the store Jalfe Kunsthåndværk og Klæder in 2001. Back then, the small shop was filled with handmade products such as felted wool items, beeswax candles, and dyed silk scarves – many of them made by Jane herself, inspired by the Rudolf Steiner universe.

Gradually, Jane began to purchase clothing from various German, Swedish, and Danish natural brands, and slowly Jalfe evolved into a clothing store and moved to larger premises.

Today, you can find Jalfe on the pedestrian street in Svendborg at Gerritsgade 24. In the store, we offer colorful and timeless clothing made from natural materials such as linen, silk, and wool from brands like Ewa i Walla, Prächtig Berlin, Privatsachen, Bloomers, and Mansted. You will also find a selection of our own Jalfe clothing made from pure merino wool and organic cotton, although the store is primarily dedicated to other brands. We place great emphasis on creating an inspiring and cozy atmosphere.
